Television, film and video editor Cara DeVito has produced numerous news features for broadcast, and received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Craft in film editing. Born in 1951, DeVito received a B.A. from Beloit College in Wisconsin, and went on to work for KTCA Television in Minneapolis. She has been a staff editor for NBC Network News in New York since 1981, and is a recipient of two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts. Her documentary work, focusing primarily on social and cultural issues, has earned a number of awards, including an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Documentary for What Could You Do With A Nickel?. DeVito lives in Verona, New Jersey.
