In this early, performance-oriented tape, Odenbach draws analogies between childhood games and the "games" of contemporary politics, media and culture. To the sound of a ticking metronome, Odenbach, seen only as a fragmented figure, plays with a series of dimestore toys — puzzles, a yo-yo. He alternates this mindless activity with grim newspaper photos of German terrorist activities from the 1970s — assassinations, "wanted" posters, hostages. With an economy of means, Odenbach constructs a cogent if frustrated dialogue that locates the artist within a political context.
